Your Vehicle, My skills

I am a professional driver in Western Massachusetts who is offering my driving skills for many reasons. It could be that driving in a city makes you anxious. It could be that you are going on vacation and you would like to use your own vehicle to get there, however parking at the departure location is more than you are willing to contend with, whether that is the cost or the safety of your vehicle. It could also be that you just want to relax on your way to the location.

For long vacations, I will meet you at your home, park my car there, drive you to your departure location, then park your vehicle back in your driveway and go home with my own car until it is time for me to go back for your arrival.

Not only do I only charge $25.00 per hour with no additional fees attached, but I also use your vehicle to get there. Yes, I own my own vehicle, however, something out there that I haven’t seen yet is a driver willing to use the clients own vehicle to get them to a location, using their own gas and mileage to reduce the cost of the entire trip. A side benefit for the client is they can pack their vehicle whenever they want before departure, which eliminates the chaos of forgetting important items. I have done extensive research and have found that there is absolutely a need for this kind of transportation as a taxi or rideshare is around triple the cost and a lot of the time, you will not find one available for many long trips without paying high surcharges for the time of day and or whether you are traveling through city or rural areas.

Eventually, if this becomes more than a side job, I may buy a new pretty SUV that I can offer people a ride in, yet currently, my orange Subaru has seen better days and is happier doing our normal day to day activities. I work full time as a motorcoach driver (45 feet long and height is 11.5 feet) who regularly travels in and out of New England cities as well as New York City and a few others as well. With a Class B CDL, I can drive any bus (excepting accordion style) and any straight truck as well. As long as it doesn’t bend, I can drive it.

Any further details such as type of vehicle (I would have to ensure any DOT hours wont put me over my limits for the given time if the vehicle is classified as a CMV), number of people who will be transported (this is for my records, not used to calculate the price).

Please note, that I will do a pre-trip inspection on the vehicle to ensure that all of the main components are working for a safe drive (for example, lights, wipers, tire wear, fluids). . I will also check that the vehicle is legal and ask that the owner of the vehicle has a printout from the RMV within 24 hours of departure stating that the vehicle is registered and insured. Along with the confirmation, I will also have the owner of the vehicle sign what is essentially a permission slip, allowing me to drive the vehicle to and from the predetermined locations for the specific dates. This permission slip will be an overview of all the duties I will be asked to do.
