In the Ancient city of Lesai, where Iveliis (Ivy), known for her temper and fighting skills approaches her coming of age ball. She goes through transition, changing her from a semi-immortal Ancient into a hybrid of the Pale race. Her mother sends her to her father for protection from the other races, as a prophesy is coming to fruition.
After many failed attempts to get used to human blood, Ivy finds that she is only sustained from vampire blood, forcing her to hide yet another secret. Her father informs her of the council’s decision for her marriage to Ash, giving her a three-week timeframe to decide.
Asher (Ash) is sent to protect Ivy at all costs, even as he is trying to avoid the fate of marriage that the council put on him three centuries before. Fate always wins in the end, but will either of them accept it?
